絶妙なサイズのiPadは昔の文具「石板」の大きさに酷似 - Macテクノロジー研究所 ちなみにiPadのサイズをあらためて記すと、242.8mm × 189.7mm、厚さは最大箇所で13.4mmと公表されている。したがって細かなことに目をつむるならiPadのサイズはかつて実用品として使われていた石盤とほぼ同一なサイズだったということになる。そしてiPadの液晶まわりのあの黒いフレーム部分は石板の木製フレームそのものだということになる。
